In connection with the pandemic, all church visitors must comply with hygiene requirements and maintain a safe distance. To fulfill these requirements, the number of people praying at services is limited.

Archpriest Thomas Hardy

On the evening of Wednesday, 5th November, 2014 the Trustees and members of the Church Council gathered together with the clergy of the Cathedral of the Dormition of the Most Holy Mother of God and Holy Royal Martyrs to honour Archpriest Thomas Hardy. On behalf of the Holy Synod of Bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia, His Eminence, Archbishop Mark of Berlin, Germany and Great Britain awarded Father Thomas, who is 88 years old, the right to wear the bejewelled cross. Vladyka Mark spoke fulsomely of Father Thomas’s long and outstanding service to the parishioners of the Cathedral. Father Thomas was celebrating his 20th anniversary of becoming a priest.

Vladyka Mark also congratulated Archpriest Peter Baulk who also was celebrating the 20th anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood, paying warm tribute to Father Peter’s pastoral zeal and devoted service.

On behalf of the parish, Starosta Vera Alexandrovna McClenaghan presented gifts to Father Thomas and Father Peter.
