Pilgrimage to the Holy Land

Dear in Christ fathers, brothers and sisters:

Led by His Eminence Archbishop Mark of Berlin, Germany, and Great Britain, we are planning a pilgrimage to the Holy Land between 31st July and 16th August, 2014. The plan is to also partake in the celebration of the Patronal Feast of the Russian Convent of Saint Mary Magdalene in the Garden of Gethsemane on 4th August, 2014 (see a photo-report from the 2012 Patronal Feast).

The entire pilgrimage is expected to last 12 days. More detailed information with the exact dates is to be given later. To join the group, please make sure you obtain blessing from any of our priests, which would need to be verifiable in a written form.

The programme also includes visits to all of the main Holy sites of Jerusalem and its vicinity, Bethlehem, Jericho, Hebron, Galilee, Lake Gennesaret, as well as immersion into River Jordan, participation in divine services at our monasteries on the Eleon Mountain and in the Garden of Gethsemane, and at other sacred places, first of all, at the Temple of our Lord’s Sepulchre. Depending on the availability of suitable flights, the exact departure and return dates may be within the two day range of 31th July and 16th August, respectively.

Applications can be submitted via email or in person. Deadline for applications is 25th January, 2014. Price (all inclusive) is 1,300 euros approximately. Contact person: Head sister Sofia Michailidou, tel: 07528 459 278. E-mail .
