Pilgrimage to St Albans

Dear Fathers, brothers and sisters:

Greetings on the Feast of the Holy Apostle and Evangelist Luke.

This Saturday (3rd November) we are going on a pilgrimage to St Albans to venerate St Alban, the protomartyr of the British Isles, and his Holy relics. .

The plan is to leave our Cathedral (Chiswick) at about 11:30am immediately after the pan-ancestral Panikhida which is to be held immediately after the Liturgy.

On the arrival at the Abbey Cathedral we plan to look around (possibly given a guided tour), have lunch at their cafe and attend to the Moleben to St Alban which is to be served by Fr Vitalij (and possibly by Fr Peter if he can join us). We are booked for 2-2:30 to serve the Moleben at the Shrine of St Alban, whose Holy relics are to be brought out for veneration. We should then be leaving at 2:30 to be back in Chiswick by 3:30pm.

So far, we are planning to drive two cars, Fr Vitalij’s and mine. Mine can take upto four passengers and Fr Vitalij’s – another 4.

If you want to join us, you can, of course, come directly to the Cathedral by public or your personal transport. However, if you want to go by car with us, please email me or call on 0776 774 4030 first. Those who end up going in our cars, please consider sharing the costs (incl. parking), about £5 per an adult. In your reply, please include your contact number. So far, 3 people have confirmed to be going in our cars, hence we still have 5 seats available.

Also, for your information
