Our Church is under the Omofor of His Eminence, Archbishop Mark of Berlin, Germany and Gt. Britain, a diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad.
The Vigil service is held every Saturday evening starting at 5:00 pm, and is followed by the Hours and Liturgy every Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. We also hold services for Church feasts, please see the schedule of services for details.
The schedule for major weekday services including Saturdays is sometimes slightly different with the Vigil starting at 6pm and the Hours and Liturgy starting at 9 am. Please check with the Priest or Starosta beforehand. All services details are announced in Church at the end of the Liturgy.
Confessions are usually heard before and after the Vigil on Saturday, and before the Liturgy on Sunday or on the feast. We do not hear confession during the Liturgy. Confessions outside these times can be heard by prior arrangement with the Parish Priest. Confessions are normally heard in Russian and English
Please contact the Starosta Vera McClenaghan (mob 079 6325 3472) or one of the Parish’s Priests, Fr Nicholas or Fr Peter to arrange Baptisms and Weddings.
Similarly, please contact one of the Priests to arrange Panihidas for Departed Orthodox souls, or serve a Molieben in thanksgiving for blessings received or for particular intentions.
The Parish Priests are also available for spiritual counselling or advice, and for anyone looking or enquiring to enter into the Ark of Salvation, the Holy Orthodox Church.
Finally, if any member of the Church is sick or infirm, and would like to receive a visit from a Priest, or receive Holy Communion or anointing please contact one of the clergy, or Starosta Vera, or the head of the Sisterhood, Matushka Tanya (mob 07780 593 482) without hesitation. Remember that it is not true that a visit from a priest means an imminent death. It is the Priest’s duty to visit and comfort the sick and needy, and the widowed.
